Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT’s)/ Caregivers.

Who you are

BHT’s are our ROCKSTARS and the backbone of our Behavioral Health Residential Facility. We depend on your leadership and commitment in order to effectively deliver the treatment services at Sananga Care Homes and create a nurturing environment.

What you will do

  • You will coordinate and implement the Resident admissions, including helping residents settle into the home, and ensure that all documents are generated, signed and filed within the applicable deadlines.

  • You will conduct the resident assessments alongside the Licensed Social Worker and draw up and implement the Residents treatment plans with the Resident’s Care Team.

  • You will assist with medication administration, procedures and documentation.

  • You will assist and supervise Residents with the general house management tasks such as cleaning, cooking and help with shopping.

  • You will lead the schedule of social and recreation events planned for the residents including conducting counseling sessions and attending of the weekly activities planned.

  • You will support with the daily documentation of residents progress notes, MAR file,

  • You will complete the Personnel Orientation and 24 hours of training, including the 2 hour oversight sessions with the LSW weekly.

  • You will help arrange for resident transport, provide resident education and help protect resident rights.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • You have the ability to read, follow and implement the policies and procedures including implementing the Arizona State Department of Healthcare’s behavioral health requirements for compliance and record keeping.

  • You are dependable, honest and reliable, and work with integrity while maintaining the rights of the residents.

  • You will help arrange for resident transport, provide resident education.

  • You are coachable and have the ability to progress through your job role, goals and career development plan.

  • You have at least three months experience working as a BHT or Caregiver. Caregivers can be trained to become BHT’s.

  • You have ability to learn and implement administrative tasks based on the policies and procedures governing Behavioral Residential Healthcare Facilities.

  • You have the ability to learn about medications, substance abuse and behavioral co-occuring disorders .

  • You have experience coordinating and implementing the therapeutical care of Behavioral Residents.

  • You have the ability to implement counseling sessions, be diligent and integral with medication administration and lead scheduled events.

  • You are diligent about updating records required by law for compliance such as progress notes, MAR forms, patient files, weekly menus, evacuation drills, work schedules, event calendars and, activity and cleaning schedules.

  • You help supervise, manage and implement the Rules and Regulations of Sananga Care Homes.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • An Arizona Assisted Living Caregiver’s Licence. (Preferred but not required). Is required by law, if direct personal care will be provided to Residents. To attend an online class with our Caregiver Training Partner call us. Class fees are $465 plus a $65 testing fees. The test is 62 simple multiple choice questions administered by AMTI in Mesa.

  • A negative TB test. ( Required by law) Cost $32.00

  • A valid Fingerprinting card. (Required by Law) Cost $65. Here is the closest location next to Sananga. Or finally a location closest to you. All fingerprinting cards will be checked for validation.

  • A valid CPR and First Aid Card. ( Required by Law). Call Sananga for school recommendation.

  • A valid Food Handling Certificate. ( Required by Law). Get an ANSI accredited Arizona food handling certificate here online Food Handling classes or at the State Food Safety course on any other source you find. Cost $10.00.

  • Sananga Care Homes administration also requires a current resume reflecting BHT / Caregiver experience, an SSN card , National ID and 3 character references.

  • Applicants will be required to attend an 8 hour job orientation, (required by law) and fill out a freedom from convictions form.

Registered Nurses

Who you are

We depend on our Nurses to help manage the physical and behavioral health of our Patients. Your expertise in Supervisory, Direct and Personal care anchors the work we do at Sananga Care Homes. We depend on your medical knowledge and assistance to meet our compliance requirements with the State and appreciate your leadership in Nursing care.

What you will do

  • You will develop and approve the medication services and personal care policies and procedures.

  • You will support the Resident admission process and perform a Residents Assessment 30 days before of 7 days after resident admission.

  • You will instruct Residents and Personnel on the use of prescribed medications, anticipated results, potential adverse reactions and side effects.

  • You will share with the residents on the adverse reactions when the medication is not taken.

  • You will train Personnel at Sananga Care homes on medication service processes, monitor the administration of medication and ensure personnel implement and adhere to the medication policies and procedures.

  • You will develop the process of reporting medication errors.

  • You will educate staff members on medications and controlled substances, their side effects, adverse reactions, refusals and overdoses.

  • You will train Personnel on administering and recoding the administration of Opiods.

  • You ensures that the residents medication regiment is reviewed by a Medical Practitioner and meets the residents treatment needs.

  • You are also be required to audit the MAR forms, medication inventorying, tracking and disposal.

  • You are able to complete a consulting evaluation every 3 months.

TRAINING REQUIREMENT

  • You have an Associated Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing, with a valid license sanctioned by the State National Licensing body.

  • You maintain Nursing licensing requirements, are participate actively in the resident placement, management of medical procedures expectations and develop the medication services.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Works to promote health, prevent diseases and help behavioral health residents cope with illnesses.

  • Advocates for health education, resident care, observes, accesses and records symptoms, reactions and progress.

  • Assists Physicians during treatment and examinations, administers medications and assists in convalescence and rehabilitation.

  • Understands the medical series and medication services for the residents with behavioral health, physical health and substance abuse.

  • You are knowledgeable, reliable, dependable and punctual and available for timely resident processing of resident admissions.

Licensed Social Workers

Who you are

Sananga Care Homes respects the mental health services that your provide. We need you to create exemplary treatment plans, that suit our Residents needs best.

We also need your clinical oversight to ensure that our program, activities and schedules match our patient assessments and therapeutic plan and that our Residents leave Sananga Care Homes, much better than when they arrived.

What you will do

  • The Licensed Social Worker is our Clinical Oversight Manager. You will have experience working with adult behavioral health populations, especial those with behavioral health diagnosis.

  • You will monitor our Behavioral Health Technicians and ensure that the Facilities policies and procedures are implemented.

  • You will ensure that the resident treatment plans are adhered too.

  • You will have a solid understanding of psychotropic medications.

  • You will provide at least 4 hours of Clinical Oversign in a calendar month to the BHT’s and BHPP ( Behavioral Health Para - Professionals).

  • You are available for the timely completion of the treatment plans and the processing of resident admissions.

  • You are able to complete a consulting evaluation every 3 months.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • A Masters in Social Work.

  • Be a current holder of the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners License.

YOUR ROLE AT SANANGA

  • You understand the behavioral health diagnosis services that are needed for the resident with behavioral health co- occurring disorders and issues such as substance abuse, criminal damage, assaults on others violent expression of behavior, family problems abandonment involving domestic violence and mood disorders.

  • You are able to complete residents treatment plans and provide clinical oversight.

  • You assist the Administrator in ensuring Sananga Care Homes, health policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to by personnel.

  • You Assist in the implementation and documentations of residents treatment plans and monitor progress of residents ensuring they adhere to the treatment plans.

  • You assist in the preparation of a clinical oversight plan, which meets the needs of the level of services provided by Sananga Care Homes, LLC.

  • You provide clinical oversight for all Personnel at Sananga providing direct services to the resident.

  • You provide guidance to improve the Behavioral Heath Technicians skills and knowledge related to the provision of behavioral health services.
